I Don't Think That Word Means What You Think it Means, Republicans

I've seen Republicans recently use some words in ways that make me think the words don't mean quite what they think they do.

First, socialism - which party, today, wants to broaden competition in health care (the major impact of the pending bills), and which party wants to keep it monopsony like it is? Which party allowed new fiber optic cable placement to return to being a telco monopoly? Just remember, vote Democrat if you want the capitalist pigs in office, and Republican if you want the socialist pinkos.

Next, payola. Here's Instapundit's idea of payola:

PAYOLA? “Why did Olympia Snowe vote for Obamacare? One reason could be that Maine has a ‘public option’ insurance plan that is going broke, and state officials are hoping Obamacare can save it.”

Is the issue that said insurance plan lines her pockets? Of course not, and that's what it needs to work. No, perfesser, the word means something different than you think it does.
