Wow... Moderate Righties On McCain After Letterman Got To Him

This thread gave me the shivers, for some reason. Today, the poster and at least half of the rightie commenters on this rightie blogthread trust Obama more than McCain. They aren't about to vote for Obama, but I do think they're likely to stay home on election day. Or, at least, they would if it were held today. There's still a long time to go.

I still blame Rove (yes, really!) - you may remember my quaint theory that Rove stole McCain's heart in 2000 by provoking him to anger with nasty attack ads. IMHO he's never been the same since.

My sympathy's still with you, righties. To me, it's alot like watching Kerry go for the Rove bait and take the excuse to not talk that hard policy stuff.

Sigh... sometimes I want to just write in Fred Thompson.

This wasn't really bright. For a media savvy staff they really screwed up this time.

I'm not liberal enough to be comfortable with obama, but McCain is just digging his hole deeper and deeper. First he chooses Palin, who obviously is a disaster. Then he is completely confused about the economy -- it is fine, it is in crisis, we need a bailout immediately, no I want to block the bailout. I'm not sure what the man stands for anymore. He's flip flopped on many positions since 1999 too. I've always voted republican, but maybe I'll sit this one out.
