Why Afghanistan is the Right Place for Withdrawn Troops
All invasions need to include occupation phases giving the state's
internal security a chance to ramp up. We only even tried, after the
fact, in Kabul there, and it's working about as well as it did in
Iraq. But occupying Afghanistan will be hard because of the mountain
terrain, and take lotsa feet on the ground to include much of the rest of
the country. Otherwise, the current Afghan govt's not likely to stick,
though.
