Open Thread: Texas Everywhere

We haven't been missing Texas these last few days: it's been following us.

On the DC Mall, we found huge Texas-labeled tents going up for next month's Smithsonian Folklife Festival. The other two features at Folkife, are, natch, Bhutan and NASA. Oh, similarly naturally, one of the tents going up was for Texas noodles.

And, in the reunion I've been dragged to, the Profesora's class's theme is cowboys.

Who said this?

Well, why, all of a sudden, if he had all these grave concerns, did he not raise these sooner? This is one-and-a-half years after he left the administration. And now, all of a sudden, he's raising these grave concerns that he claims he had. And I think you have to look at some of the facts. One, he is bringing this up in the heat of a presidential campaign. He has written a book and he certainly wants to go out there and promote that book.
The answer is Scott McClellan, reacting to Richard Clarke's book in 2004.

Apples and oranges there. Or maybe Apples and PC's.

I doubt if your son has had an epiphany about bedtime. I know my daughter hasn't.

Mine have had the epiphany that I really do mean it, and arguing will not avail.

Now, if I could just get them to apply that to cleaning up on schedule...

Forget the flying cars. I WANT MY ROBOT MAID!

My kid has a project to do over the next month. Get the backyard into really nice shape.
Really nice shape.
