We FINALLY made out to dinner tonight. Yesterday, the problem was that the Kid had bonked himself badly and wasn't up to going anywhere unless we wanted to add lots of nice baby crying to our neighborhood ambience.

But it was really, really good.

Before I was a parent, crying/noisy kids in restaurants were one of my pet peeves. Then I had kids. Now crying/noisy kids in restaurants actually make me smile, and arouse no ire in me at all. Because I have some sympathy for the parents, and because they're not mine. :-)

It's been a long day - brunch, finally having time to kidsafe a cable, Amy's ice cream for the Mama's first Mother's Day and a cool fountain thing for the Kid, cat injecting, and lots, and lots, and lots of book-shelving. Most of the 'M's had to be carried twice across the room.

I'm afraid I have no energy for posting today.

My daughter got to babysit her 3 yr old cousin for the first of many times to come.

heh hehe

chortle

Seems she was kept so busy she had to wait until later on to do her homework so she had a late night.

It is soooo sweet.
I think I'll have a dish of ice cream.

Nice to gett some reality exposure in their heads as well. Couldn't hurt. And three year olds are so very busy busy busy.
