February 12, 2008Electoral Results Came Out As Expected?!?I'm startled to see that today's electoral results actually appear to have gone the way they were expected to. Posted by Jon Kay at February 12, 2008 08:44 PMComments
I'm not. People lost their friggin minds when Hillary held on in NH, but for the most parts, polls have shown their limited but still real efficacy as ballpark estimates. Polls have for some time shown Obama as well ahead in the states that he has recently swept in his post2/5 run. So it's legitimate to question the real rate and eventual crest of obama-mo. A tues poll showed Hillary ahead in Ohio at 56-39. That may move in the wake of the potomac area results, but it doesn't hurt any of us to notice that Obama has won in the states where he has polled as ahead for a couple weeks, and Hillary has managed to hold him off in most of the states where polls either showed her ahead or showed only a last minute close. Will Ohio and Texas (ironically the home of the Alamo) be Hillary's last stand, or the place where the tide crests and turns. If I had to bet I'd predict a little big horn, but I'm not counting her out yet. Lots of folks are undecided and going back and forth and I really genuinely think they could go either way.
