January 27, 2008Back on the SceneHi folks. I haven't been around for quite a while. I took a step back from blogging a little over a year ago, when I decided to try to write a book. I'm just at the finishing stages of the book, and it's about to go to the printer. I'll have a little more to say about the book in a while. It probably won't be available for a month, at least. I just wanted to post a little something, because I may start sharing a few thoughts here from time to time, and I'm not sure how many of you guys remember me. I figured you were new here, critter. So who were you before you got Kranky? The book is called The Missing Middle. It's about the growth of the left and right movements during the Clinton/Bush era and the resulting squeeze on voices from the middle. I frankly don't know if it's any good, but I'm very, very excited to be done with it and not to have to fool with it anymore. Thanks, by the way, for keeping things going here. I've been able to check in, occasionally, and you guys are doing a great job.
