Nuclear Threats from Left leaning NTI

Khan was a player, so why should Musharraf keep him from the IAEA? Politics as Bhutto plays to Western fears and Musharraf appeals to the street.

Iran declares it has secret nuclear facilities

So perhaps the missed “Israel attacks Syria" update today is Clinton's answer last night to Russert's partisan question, "Would you support an Israeli attack on Iran?" Great stuff Tim, but why did you struggle with understanding her answer?

First, giving the question some real context, she stated her support of the non-hypothetical Israeli attack on Syria if Intel pans out. Does Tim forget she supported Israeli attack on Saddam's reactor (and is probably grateful Saddam hit Iranian facility decades ago). Hillary will not answer a "realistic" yet, hypothetical Israeli strike on Iran if Timmy takes off the table the context of our intelligence, the scope of actionable targets (see Iranian statement above), and our preparedness for what follows. Tim wanted to cast her vote on Congress branding Quds a terrorist group (who else voted for the Bill?) as a replay of her initial position on Iraq. He was trying to cheap shot her as a minion of Bush in front of a partisan audience. Fair and balanced? Why didn't Russert confront Obama's AIPAC bravado on Iran, or Biden's support of the 2004 Kerry line?

So far, Democrats denied Libya’s WMD programs for a decade, ignored Syria’s activities for years, have offered little to stop NK’s programs, were not concerned about Saddam’s programs in 2003 (which parts of may well be in Syria now), and want to take off the table any force on Iran’s programs (even support of Israeli action) moving Left of France. Despite the spin today by media, Hillary alone brought up the recent Israeli attack on Syria and scored points with many in the Middle while the other candidates pandered to the anti-Israel/forget-about-Iran-side of the Democratic Party. Perhaps, she alone among the Democratic candidates is aware of the possibilities discussed in the Defense Tech post above. A good reason to believe she alone, is the best option for Democrats come next fall.
