Open Thread: Yay, Real Football's Back!

Think Indy will make it to the final round of playoffs this year?

The final round like the Super Bowl? Nope, I don't think they will. While their defense looked good last night, having the Saints play like complete crap helped. I think Jacksonville may give Indy a run for the AFC South title, even with Garrard at QB. I see either New England or San Diego as the AFC Super Bowl reps.

In the NFC, I think the Eagles will return assuming McNabb can stay healthy.

Mmmm I love football.

We'll see how much blogging I get done in the next few days - we just got the Firefly season DVD AND a new translation of
Thucydides.

It's got annotations AND maps. The old classic translation that was assigned in college has fallen apart. When I saw a post on Drezner's blog, assigning as course material, I knew that was the right replacement for me...

Can't make predictions yet, but Colts looked good. They are missing a few players and teams will all be lining up to beat them. Still think Steelers have a shot. Jets might make the playoffs. Will Chicago get better? Does New England have anything left?

Vacation break and when I get back, I will take Jon up on his offer. Hang in there dude....
