August 02, 2007Putin Youth and MafiyaA good article about the Putin Youth. And, while we're talking about Russia, here's an article by Gary Kasparov, titled Don Putin Posted by Jon Kay at August 2, 2007 11:48 AMComments
Keep it coming. BUSH DECLARES MOON "US PROPERTY" "We got their first and planted the Stars and Strips..heh heh, so its our. And some other discoverer planted a flag at the North Pole first so Russia doesn't own the ice part either".Posted by: Maxtrue at August 2, 2007 02:28 PM What else did they bury? Next the Antartic and perhaps a new TPS (Terrestrial postioning system). I can see new shipping lanes open and a push for resource exploration. Hell, six months of solar reflection by vast fields of solar panels might chill the climate. Giant Hydrogen extractors with carbon sequestoring loops and superconducting turbines, power the Northern countries even in winter while biofuel, reforrestation, periannual crop hybrids, fishery management, conservation and green technology/archetecture move the world back towards its prefered CO2 state. How will the marine life be protected? Humbolts are already invading California fisheries. China, Russia, Canada, America, Scandanavia, England all have a stake in the Artic. Even mores so the Antartic, likely to contain far more resources, but far less fish. We can see Putin's quest at the bottom of the North Pole. Posted by: Maxtrue at August 2, 2007 02:47 PMI add some more to the Russian story. I mention Turkey because recently Russia has warned Turkey about gas imports from Iran. And Russia has again threatened to stop imports to Tehran over payment problems (so much for selling them 250 fighters). I mention China below because they are pressing against Russian sales, but providing cover for Russian sales to Iran and Syria. Made in China with love from Iran I mention this to see if anyone is reading Obvious Richards isn't planning to rock in Iran. Posted by: Maxtrue at August 7, 2007 09:47 PMDamn, so the punchline comes before the punch (I mention this to see if anyone is reading) Posted by: Maxtrue at August 7, 2007 09:52 PMa bright move I'm not sure of the reasoning behind this possible Russian move.
