It's open! It's a thread!

And the sum of A and B is....

Professional sports had a tough week. NBA referee, Tour de France, Michael Vick. I find it sad, really, largely because none of it shocks me. I'm turning into a complete cynic.

Well, there's always the cleavage controversy. That's a bit lighter than "No End in Sight".

Here's some great news for the more mentally on edge....

I just love studies like this. They get quoted so predictably by hordes (especially politicians) who obviously never heard that correlation is not causation.

Especially in a case like this -- where an at least equally good argument could be made that people who are likely to develop mental illness are more likely to try drugs.

It was a META POLL LOL. Actually the former claim was that Pot depresses long term and increases estrogen. You're right. I thought it was too funny. What will coke do, mass murder?

Posted by: Maxtrue at July 27, 2007 08:20 PM

No, it's the videogames and bike helmets that cause the mass murders.

We ate some lamb stew tonight, and found a bottle cap from the beer that went into it....

It's unbelievable how long the baby is taking to eat.

Jon still has not explained why the metal bottle cap did not cause problems when I microwaved the lamb stew.

Arcing depends on the size of the piece of metal and it's position. A fork which is fairly long piece of metal is more likely to arc from wall to wall of the microwave than a tiny bottle cap. If I'm not mistaken the arcing is relatively harmless unless the object is thin foil or something like that.

think thunderstorm and Shaq and midget standing in a field. I'd rather be the midget.

BTW People do use metal containers in microwaves for cooking.

Or it slipped in while Jon was serving? Now if the midget had an IPOD........
