Pat Buchanan without the charisma.... :-)

Actually, it's worse than that. I can't help but laugh at what is destined to be a trainwreck of a spectacle. This will be fun to watch, as I can rest assured of the fact that if Savage ever gets anywhere close to being electable, the republic would have long since plunged into the abyss. In other words, it ain't gonna happen. Not ever.

I think that is a huge insult to Pat Buchanan, Tully. I don't like Pat, but I do think he is thoughtful and there is some intellectual thinking behind his politics. Savage is a butthole, and one of the most vile creatures on the planet. What's next? Randi Rhodes, Democrat for President? I think I just vomited a little.

I believe if you research the "intellectual thinking" of both Buchanan and Savage on the subjects of blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals, and Jews, you'll find that they're both on the same page. That Buchanan uses less blunt words to say the same things as Savage does not make him more "thoughtful." They're both thundering bigots.

I wish Savage would actually run. He could use the education. Unfortunately I think that he has a combination of two things that will stop him from actually running:

• just enough self-interested smarts about his true career viability

• a solid lack of real cuhones when it comes to fair and honest debate

He'll talk about it as long as he thinks he's getting mileage from it. So I hope someone prominent steps up and DARES him to run. Let's force him to crawl out of his comfortable niche of a hole, out from under his rock, and put him under the birght lights in the middle of the national kitchen floor. Kerrr-runch.
