January 23, 2007Sacrifice Bone Connected to the Culture Bone?Instapundit hipped me to this version of the speech Americans deserve to hear: The State of the Union is a disaster. I did my best, but I made mistakes, and my best wasn’t good enough. We went to war without building up our army, and now, I am trying to make up for that. Meanwhile, in other news, the percent of students who are obsessed with wealth and material possessions is much higher than in past generations: Indeed, researchers say materialism is an obsession that cuts across socio-economic lines for American youth. What is it folks say? Oh yeah. As you sow, so shall you reap. That's it. Posted by Kranky Kritter at January 23, 2007 12:08 PMComments
Heck, I was just gonna point you at Crittenden's post. Teach me to go do my citizenly duty instead. :-) Posted by: Tully at January 23, 2007 12:43 PMWhat kind of site is that? (The first link.) Those commenters are something to behold. Posted by: WHQ at January 23, 2007 01:02 PMWe just run the articles. The Net sends the commenters. Posted by: Vanderleun at January 23, 2007 01:26 PMBut that is not the disaster. The disaster is that you, Congress and the American people, do not care to fight. Wow, talk about the Blame America First crowd. Posted by: Fledermaus at January 23, 2007 01:44 PMYeah, Vanderleun, we get that here too. :-) Posted by: Tully at January 23, 2007 02:05 PMYou're just another needle-dick, Tully!!! I used to beat guys like you up behind the gym! (C'mon, we don't get THAT here, do we?) Posted by: WHQ at January 23, 2007 02:17 PMLMAO. I'm gonna tell on you! Posted by: Tully at January 23, 2007 02:32 PMI tried to start a No-Failing-to-Exude-Infinite-Kindness-in-Recognition-of-the-Inherent-Goodness-of-All-Your-Fellow-Human-Beings Week. It almost worked, but the 7th graders just didn't get it. Posted by: WHQ at January 23, 2007 03:03 PMLMAO! Those guys make our spats seem like a high tea ceremony. "Needle-dick?" "I was waffling a little bit, but now you've persuaded me." Reminds me of the SP episode where the japanese toy company fended off criticism by expressing shame at their comparatively small weiners. Let's add proof by claim of genital inadequacy to the list. Give it a red cap and a speedo. Posted by: bk at January 23, 2007 03:13 PMCan we put in "proof by claim of genital adequacy" as well? :-) That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Posted by: Tully at January 23, 2007 04:27 PM
