August 15, 2006Where To Get Yer War CoverageLife's been keeping me busy lately, but I want to remind you where you can get your good war coverage: Totten for the war, and The Truth Laid Bear's special linking service to regional blogs for politics. That seems to be it. Oh, and Totten is relying on his readers for financial support rather than newspapers; maybe that's why he's got the only non-sucky war coverage; but that does mean he needs our support. I've been having trouble finding other coverage of any sort that goes beyond exploiting blood, tears, and propaganda for one side or the other. Is there some other good place to look? Let us know! Pajamas Media has been doing an ongoing link roundup of the Israel/Lebanon conflict since the beginning. They're taking it off the features list for now, as the ceasefire seems to be holding. Posted by: Tully at August 16, 2006 06:33 PMI've hardly been to the site since I used it to follow Kosovo, so I don't know what they have available for free these days, but stratfor.com has got to be worth a look, since they're not a media outlet but an intelligence outfit - therefore their customers are paying them not to spin it. Pat, didn't you pay for a subscription recently? How is it? Is the price exorbitant? (I never bothered to look into price because I wouldn't have the time to read it these days, but it would be nice to be able to know what the price range is, because I've mentioned Stratfor to others.
