Here is an article reproduced from Discover magazine (probably in violation of the copyright laws) that updates the progress being made. Bottom line is that the regulatory environment is more favorable in Europe than the USA. Looks like all future expansion will occur overseas. Although the big three automakers may be interested. At the very end of the article, notice that they say that they won't abandon the USA now. They're actally making a $4/barrel profit now since the Renewable Diesel tax credit went through. That much is good to hear! But it's incredibly sad that there won't be as much expansion here. We could easily fill a significant fraction of our fuel needs with this process.
