Blame Canada

A chance to post about three of my favorite obsessions all at once. Climate change is making historically unaccessible regions of the arctic available. So Russia, Canada and the USA are fighting over who owns it. Ignoring the fishing rights and lovely sunsets, anyone want to take a stab at why three countries would fight over a desolate piece of ocean on the top of the world? Especially since its inaccessible most of the year. My vote is oil!

No doubt about it folks, it's time to invade Canada!
I feel a surge of manifest destiny!
Who wants to sing something patriotic with me?

Check out the link.

Times have changed
Our kids are getting worse
They won't obey their parents
They just want to fart and curse!
Should we blame the government?
Or blame society?
Or should we blame the images on TV?
No, blame Canada!

Never let it be said that your not melodic.

Hey, I'm all for supporting an invasion of Canada. Like Homer said, it's "America 2." Besides, we're due for some more states. Except Quebec. Let them form their own country or something.

Next... we can take Greenland from Denmark!

But to the subject at hand, Harper is merely trying to prove he's not Bush's puppet, while at the same time, trying to lay claim to what could be a lucrative passage if the ice does melt. He probably has some legitmate grief about US submarines passing through, but nothing will come of it, save perhaps a private apology followed by a promise to not (get caught) doing it again.

Hey! Don't make me start singing "The Morning After" now!

Posted by: Blue Jean at January 27, 2006 06:54 PM

To late:
"Oh, can't you see the morning after?
It's waiting right outside the storm...."

Oh my God! Bob killed Kenny! You bastard! ;-)

I can carry a tune in a bucket, Bob. Just don't forget the bucket.

No, Jean, I'm Sparta...um, I mean, I killed Kenny.

I've already filed my ice mining claims on Greenland. I have this FEMA contact...

Fema Contract!!!
I'm sure your doing a heck of a job Tully.

Tully killed Kenny? Why am I not surprised? As Billy Crystal would say, I am so not Spartacus.

Posted by: Blue Jean at January 29, 2006 03:06 PM

Of course I killed Kenny. Hasn't everyone? ;-)

Posted by: Tully at January 29, 2006 04:34 PM

I haven't. At least not yet. Must pencil that in for next week....;-)
