Has anyone ever caught any episodes of Penn and Teller's "Bull$h!+" which runs on showtime? I don't get showtime, but I have rented a few of the 3 episode DVDs, and it's really funny stuff. They get into exposing BS like psychics, questionable remedies like magnets and such. The episode where they filled fancy bottles with hose water and gave it to people at a fancy restaurant with a "water steward" was priceless, especially when they later told them that all those "different" $8 bottles of water they'd been rhapsodizing about were in fact NY tap.

I've seen it, and (not surprisingly, eh?) I love it.

I've been fighting tire inflation problems on my bike. When I inflate to close to the high end of tire spec (60 psi), the inner tubes go **BOOM** within two days. At what my pump claims is 50 psi, they take a week or two to severely abrade and fail less spectacularly. Now I'm trying 40 psi on the gauge.

Now, I do suspect the pump of being 10 psi off.

What do you guys inflate your mountain bike tires to?

I'd buy a digital tire gauge at Pep Boys, or some other less offensive place, and check the pressure with that. If they're reading the same, Id' go ask for some free tires.

After reading this, I'm getting nostalgic for the days of Nixon; when his poll numbers dropped to 40%, all he did was pray and talk to the portraits.

Is anyone else forced by this story to the frankly terrifying conclusion that Condi Rice might actually be hot?
