Can the Unitarian Jihad come? Posted by: Blue Jean at May 18, 2005 01:56 AMIt's now May 18, 2005. If you happen to see a lot of flying naked people today, it means Homer Simpson was right. ;-) Posted by: Blue Jean at May 18, 2005 02:49 AMNope, no flying naked people. Homer's math is once again a wee bit off. Or maybe I missed it because I'm not in the Ramones schism. Or because I demanded that Lowell George be immediately elevated to the position of Patron Saint and DemiGod. (I am told the ceremony to do so will not occur until I have accumulated enough Shiner Bock for an open service in Darrell K. Royal--Texas Memorial Stadium.) Posted by: Tully at May 18, 2005 10:35 AMLol, Tully. Correct you are, in yodaspeak; Homer forgot that there were thirteen people at the Last Supper, not merely twelve, so his math was off indeed. Myself, I am mourning the basement league performance of KC's own Royals right now, so I was hoping Homer was right; a few flying naked people would have been a welcome distraction. (Of course, in "The Iowas Baseball Conspiracy", Kinsella predicted that the Cubs would win the last World Series before Armageddon, so Doomsday may be a while yet.) Thanks for the laugh. :-) Posted by: Blue Jean at May 18, 2005 11:34 PMRemember that Homer has to calculate in base 8 (if he keep his shoes and shorts on). 'Toons only get four fingers a side. Royals? LOL. I tell my KC friends to think of it as a "rebuilding" year...but the Jayhawks are 34-25, even if they suck in conference. And the tickets are cheaper. I always figured the Sure Sign of the Apocalypse was a Cubs/BoSox Series. Posted by: Tully at May 19, 2005 11:20 AMYes, "rebuilding year" it is, since there is nowhere but up to go. Sorry! My tinfoil hat insists on Yodaspeak. I'll have to take it off and whack it a couple times. LOL about Homer. Maybe if he attended church more, he'd know more about the Apocalypse. Of course, the Sox did make it to the series last year. Can Doomsday be far off? Posted by: Blue Jean at May 20, 2005 12:24 AM |
