Charging Rino

Here's a new moderate Republican blog, Charging RINO. For those of you who don't know what a RINO is, here is the Wikipedia entry.

You have endorsed Charging RINO as a moderate Republican blog. Listed as a link on that blog and quoted favorably is Josh Marshall. Now, a moderate can favorably quote a right or left winger on occasion. When that winger is in full demagogue mode and is quoted, one is suspicious. When such a person is linked, one is suspicious. Marshall is such a left wing hack that I pretty much had to quit reading him. Just one example:
Josh has a PhD. If Josh is going to crusade such as he does on Social Security reform, he really has a duty to his readers to do some research on the subject. Also estate tax reform. If he has done even the most preliminary research on estate tax reform (key words: "stepped up basis") he knows that much of the lost revenue from eliminating the estate tax would be replaced by capital gains taxes on appreciated property. Yet, despite knowing this or being ignorant of this (equally bad) he is loudly proclaiming that eliminating the estate tax will short the government the entire amount of the estate tax- which is needed for SS. Classic demagoguery. And certainly not centered in our political thought.
Also, note the very short bio on the site. I am slightly to the right of most real RINOs and the sands keep shifting. But if Charging RINO is really a moderate Republican, something was very out of whack in the last election.
