Democrats And Republicans Are Kicking Each Other Out Of Bed

So says the Village Voice

With the country deeply divided over the current presidential race—with Republican George Bush and John Kerry in a dead heat and many voters in a blind rage over their guy—political affiliation has ascended to the top of requirement lists for potential mates. It now sits conspicuously next to "earning potential" and "full head of hair."

Perhaps it's no coincidence that Centerfield recently received an email promoting the sites datingdemocrats.com and datingrepublicans.com. I'm posting the links for your amusement. Centerfield does not vouch for these sites in any way.

Lends a whole new meaning to the phrase "sexual politics," doesn't it?

Posted by: Tully at October 31, 2004 12:27 PM

Last spring, the Larry David Show on HBO had an arc in which his wife gave Larry an opportunity to have sex with another woman as a wedding present. (Does this seem a tad unrealistic?) He was about to have sex with a woman when he discovered she was a Republican and, disgusted, left.

My reaction, from a male's perspective, was--Larry, you can't be serious! Passing up sex over political affiliation? George Costanza certainly never would have done that. Pretend to be a Republican!

George Costanza would pretend to be a Satanist for sex.
