July 30, 2004THANK YOU RICK!Hurray for our man at the convention, for working hard on getting out his observations, and even sacrifcing his health on our behalf.... I think your choices on things to cover were pretty good. You're right - even when I've watched whole conventions on cable, I had little if any idea of all the events surrounding the convention, and I thought your line of inquiry was pretty interesting.
I vote we double his salary!

I say we triple it! Posted by: Tully at July 30, 2004 10:12 AMYou're very welcome. I recommend the experience. In fact, I'd like to work out a way for Centerfield to become routinely credentialed to cover other events. That way, if Centerfielders wanted to attend political events in say Texas, Minnesota, or Missouri, they could do so with press credentials which would give them more access. I think you did an excellent job rick! Thanks a lot for your hard work. Posted by: Will at July 30, 2004 11:20 AMSounds like a great idea, Rick, and I second it. Posted by: Tully at July 30, 2004 11:39 AMOutstanding job, Rick. I really enjoyed your convention reports. We really got a sense, I think, for the value of participating -- talking to folks, sharing views, etc. Posted by: William Swann at July 30, 2004 12:34 PMI also want to commend Rick for an outstanding job. Posted by: jmauzy at July 30, 2004 12:38 PMI agree with the above, Rick, you were awesome! Posted by: Samantha at July 30, 2004 01:27 PMI agree as well. Excellent coverage that was informative. I used exactly two resources to get coverage of the entire Democratic Convention - PBS and Centerfield. Props all around. I feel like I've been well served as a news consumer and as a voting citizen. Thanks! Posted by: Kevin at July 30, 2004 02:21 PMThank you, Rick Posted by: Rachel at July 31, 2004 05:35 PM |
