I'm not trying to be snarky here at all, but living in France now and having to learn the language I would interpret it a wee bit differently (it doesn't change the fundamental meaning, but gives a better sense of what a Frenchman would read): Authorized for the first time to cover the Democratic Party convention, the bloggers independent jornalists and editorialists on the web, bring a breath of fresh air to a very pre-arranged event. Although I've only been here a short time (a bit over three months) I've learned that "editorialists" are not viewed in the same way as "journalists", and the fact that they used both descriptions for bloggers is significant. Now, we return you to your regular commenting.... Posted by: Jack at July 29, 2004 04:05 PMWhoops, dropped a comma in editing. Correction: Authorized for the first time to cover the Democratic Party convention, the bloggers, independent jornalists and editorialists on the web, bring a breath of fresh air to a very pre-arranged event. My comment regarding editorialists still stands. Posted by: Jack at July 29, 2004 04:07 PM |
