July 29, 2004The Democrats Make Me SickI woke up this morning with a sore throat. The convention is enjoyable, but grueling. Breakfast events start by 8AM. The speeches at the Fleet Center run on until 11PM, and then it's slow filing out through the dense crowd. I haven't even attempted to go to any late night parties. Carrying around the laptop, camera, tape recorder and other items was exhausting. Then, you're in contact with thousands of other people, sometimes in close proximity. Among the 20,000 people here, someone had a summer cold, and now I have one. Posted by rickheller at July 29, 2004 08:41 AMComments
Quoting one of my esteemed collogues with whom I had the extreme displeasure of working with for a short stint in the food service industry during collage (and who was none too bright I might add): “Sleep is for pussies, shut up and eat your speed.” Posted by: Rick DeMent at July 29, 2004 09:07 AMI feel your pain, but enjoy it as you can always say "I was there", and with the new Kerry health plan you shall be healed. Nice work for a mulish sort of person I reckon! Posted by: Ed Von Ruden at July 29, 2004 06:45 PM |
