Very good news. As of a few weeks ago -- the uprising in April -- my basic take on it is that the only path forward that might succeed involves a good bit of finesse. Immediately taking on Fallujah and the Sadr forces would produce a backlash. Failure to do so would produce de facto defeat. So we have to manage, somehow, to take them on in a way that's supported by other factions in Iraq. Seems like we've been doing that with some effectiveness in the south -- where the other Shi'ite factions have a parallel interest in getting rid of Sadr. Very sharp strategy.
