Dialogue on 'how much money people need'

Jesse: When Rick Heller responded to your post about taxes, he asked the question 'how much money do people need?'.

Erasmus: Yes, I've been meaning to get back to that issue.

Jesse: Well, I've been thinking about the question.

Erasmus: And...?

Jesse: And it does seem to be a question that must be considered when you're discussing taxes.

I've always felt that poverty is relative. Once you've met your basic physical needs, one has a psychological need to keep up with the Jones to avoid feeling inferior.
